How does one teach children not to steal while stealing to teach them?
In America's socialized education system children who don't wish to attend school are forced to do so, likewise parents who don't wish to send their children to school are threatened with physical force; teachers are forced to 'educate' students unwilling to participate and are judged by the academic performance of said unwilling participants. All the while citizens with no children are forced to pay to educate the children of others.
The initiation of force rests at the root of this system. Education in a free society is a simple proposition: parents with a desire to teach their children academic skills but lack the time or ability to do as good a job as they would like would outsource that responsibility to professional teachers. If the parent was unhappy with the service or results, they would be free to employ a different teacher or take over themselves; teachers would likewise be free to deny service to any students who would refuse to participate.
Statists will react to these radical market principles in terror: "who will educate the poor?!?"; my answer is simple: whomever would like to. If you don't have the money to pay a teacher to educate your child and you lack the ability to do it yourself, you may certainly ask for my assistance, but I do not recognize your right to my money with which to do so. Every child's education begins with the Golden Rule: "treat others as you would like to be treated", it's all downhill from there.

A woman and her passive, submissive husband take their young children into a buffet restaurant with a bag to place under the table where all participated in filling with bacon for their breakfast the following day.
Then they wonder why they have to pick the kid up at the store for shoplifting.
