The New Road to Serfdom

The New Road to Serfdom tackles Multiculturalism

In the UK; Welfare State hand-outs and no work leads to increased leisure time for Immigrants, which leads to "radical Islam and its teachings"

Excerpt from Review by Patrick Sullivan for the DC Book Club, re-published from the DrunkenConservatives blog:
The original Road to Serfdom was written by Friedrich von Hayek and warned against central planning and massive government regulation. Or at least that’s what I gather from the Wikipedia page. I’ve never read it.

But what I HAVE read is The New Road to Serfdom: A Letter of Warning to America which outlines the scary way that the US is moving more towards a super-centralized European model of governance which has proven disastrous for personal liberties. While conservatives know this shift has been taking place over a long time, it is rather eye-opening to see how far we’ve fallen from our small government, federalist way of doing things.

The sounder of the alarm, is... one of the lone conservative members of the European parliament, Daniel Hannan... He was featured on Fox quite a bit in the legislative run up to everyone’s favorite crap sandwich, Obamacare. He told the truth about the British government-run health care to Americans bluntly on TV and it wasn’t a pretty picture.

Hannan also talks about the deadly combination of multiculturalism and the welfare state. Multiculturalism has lead immigrants and children of immigrants to pursue their own cultures and tells them it’s “ok” to not be a part of their new nation.

With the welfare state, immigrants also have lots of time on their hands since they don’t have to work. Together these lead to radicalization as immigrants now are individualized and ostracized from a society they’re told not to assimilate with. With their free time, they delve into radical Islam and its teachings. The explosion of home grown terrorism across Europe has been the chilling result.
