Just Another Day in the USA

Just Another Day in the USA

Today was like every other day in the United States during the last few decades. Washington taxed more private wealth to generate government revenue. Congress added more national debt to future generations so they could pay benefits and buy votes today. The Federal Reserve created more fiat paper money out of nothing to cover the difference between government revenue and expenses.

The Mob Still Votes
"A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine." ~ Thomas Jefferson
Recently, we took our 14-year-old daughter and a friend to the Coastal Georgia Fair in Savannah. It was a small fair with the usual tasty but deadly food and all the rides you wanted for a set price. The girls had fun and I had plenty of time to stand around and watch the crowd to protect my girls from all the thugs and hoodlums in the crowd.
I hate generalizations but it was apparent that most of the attendees lived off the government, either in terms of outright support or make-work jobs, but for once I was glad there were a lot of law enforcement officials around. Second, except for the police presence there, paid by tax dollars, I doubt but few of the people made enough to ever pay federal income tax and most with children probably received the annual income tax credit.
Then it dawned on me that "everyone there had the right to vote for more benefits and tax receipts from the government." Therefore, it is wishful thinking to believe a mob democracy such as ours can ever restore the once great American republic of our founding fathers because a majority of parasites benefit from the productive work of a minority of Americans.
The Bankers Still Rule
"History records that the money changers have used every form of abuse, intrigue, deceit, and violent means possible to maintain their control over governments by controlling money and its issuance." ~ James Madison
This is why most governments in Europe and here in America at all levels appear to working productive citizens as so incompetent. Governments and politicians are only incompetent if you value your freedom and want to keep your hard-earned wealth. Governments and politicians do an excellent job for private and central bankers − witness the bank bailout in the US and another banking bailout happening right now in the European Union.
Governments work well for the very wealthy out to scam and accumulate more wealth and power for themselves and use power of the state to do this. It also is a friend of the 50-plus percent of Americans who pay no income tax and who exist and live off our productive labor.
Unless you are super rich or part of the rapidly growing American underclass, most politicians and government entities are your enemy. The federal government is under the direct control of Wall Street and a few other wealthy elites. Although they provide enough bread and circuses to guarantee a voting majority from those who only subsist off the government, few have the incentive or opportunity to be more than a voting mob ruled by the wealthy and monetary elites.
Actually, Austrian economists, libertarians and Tea Party supporters on the right are just as correct as the Occupy Wall Street crowd on the left. The government does not work for the people any longer and both political parties are equally corrupt and controlled by special interests. Public outrage is exploding while the Democrats, Soros and ACORN on the left attempt to use the anger through OWS to rally voter support for Obama and the Democrats. This is an identical covert mission to the earlier GOP establishment takeover and marginalization of the Tea Party activists.
The Sheep Still Sleep, Trust & Obey
"A society of sheep must in time beget a government of wolves." ~ Bertrand de Jouvenel
Recently, I walked down the beach to "mourn" at the 150-year anniversary of the 1861 American invasion and military occupation of Port Royal on Hilton Head Island, SC. At the time this was the largest amphibious assault ever attempted by the American military but they so outnumbered and outgunned the Confederates that the issue was never in doubt.
The flags of the victors and defeated Confederates were all flying in the wind, the cannons blasted and troops of Confederates and Yankee invaders marched around showing us how Washington invaded sovereign nation-states without a declaration of war 150 years ago.
The hundreds in attendance stood and (except one person that I know of) pledged their allegiance to the flag and conquering empire. Freedom, God and military defense were mentioned a lot and I support all three but I saw little evidence today that the views of our founding fathers or my Confederate forefathers were much in evidence.
The bravery of both sides was appropriately celebrated but I wondered why there was no mention of what really happened back in 1861. Citizens of the southern states were willing to democratically vote for secession and then fight and die against a military invasion and fight for the original republic against a wealthy banking and manufacturing elite that took over our nation.
With the election of Lincoln, and following the defeat of the Confederacy in 1865, these interests with the political power of the southern states, destroyed and under military occupation, laid the foundations for both the creation of the Federal Reserve and federal income tax, thus changing America forever for the worse.
Today, Tea Party Americans on the right, libertarians, constitutionalists and even some Occupy Wall Street people on the left all understand something is seriously wrong with our nation. But I see little sign of any leadership or a movement, other than Ron Paul, willing to pledge everything to stand up against Washington today.
One day there will be a new day in the USA. But for now the mob continues to vote, the bankers still rule and the sheep remain docile and asleep − but for how long? It is time to wake up America!
