Eastwood Confirmed as RNC Mystery Speaker

The biggest mystery swirling around the Republican National Convention in Tampa has been solved.

Clint Eastwood, the icon behind the Dirty Harry franchise, three Spaghetti Western classics, and films like "Unforgiven" and "Mystic River," will address the GOP tonight in Tampa according to multiple sources.
Eastwood's connection to the GOP hasn't always been rock solid. The actor/director served as the Republican mayor of Carmel, Calif. and often associates with right of center causes. He typically put his artistic identity first, allowing his work to speak for itself, though, and caught heat from conservatives earlier this year for lending his celebrity to a car commercial which appeared to align with President Obama's auto bailout initiative.
Now, he's stepping onto the biggest political stage in the country on the GOP's behalf, on the very night Mitt Romney officially accepts the party's presidential nomination.
